Who are Barefoot Media?

Barefoot Media is the trading name for the business of Jim and Ellie Michell.

Jim Michell
After completing an MA in English Literature from Edinburgh University, Jim trained for an NCTJ certificate in Newspaper Journalism. After a brief spell working as a reporter for local newspapers, he spent three years as Deputy Editor at Wavelength, Britain's longest-established surfing magazine. Jim went freelance in 2002, setting up Barefoot Media to enable him to work with a broader range of clients and to expand the public relations side of the business.

Ellie Michell
With an MA in Mathematics from Downing College, Cambrige under her belt, Ellie went on to University College London to study for an MSc in Land Surveying. She worked for several years as a surveyor before branching out into architectural drawing using CAD. She joined Barefoot Media in 2004 and undertakes CAD work.
