Our brief
The Strand offers self-catering accommodation in the Cornish port of Padstow.
In a competitive market such as holiday letting in Cornwall, owner Jill Brown wanted to make sure that her site for The Strand was up to date with the latest innovations in technology whilst also portraying the apartments as quality holiday lets.

Analysis
In order to shed some light as to the improvements that could be made to current the website, we first looked at its traffic using Google Analytics.
This showed us useful visitor information on page views, time on site, and traffic sources amongst many others.

Usabillity
We looked at the usability of the site and the design, in order to try and highlight the aspects that attracted booking and those that didn't by taking into consideration the colours used, layout, images, content and the links to other websites.
The involvement of social media platforms is increasingly important to a website's success so we were also sure to create a section on digital marketing.

Results
Once we carried out all the research into the various aspects of The Strand's online presence, we created a 38-page PDF that explained in easy to understand language our findings (both positive and negative). It also provided recommendations on changes that could be made in order to help better achieve the aims of Jill's business.
