Email newsletter for Paul Ainsworth
Tying in with his appearance on BBC2's Great British Menu, Padstow chef Paul Ainsworth appointed Barefoot Media to manage an ongoing email marketing campaign to keep in regular contact with his customers.
Objectives
Paul wanted to maximise the impact of his appearance on the show and create a lasting legacy.
He also wanted to develop relationships with his customers and viewers of the show and keep them up to date with the latest news from his restaurant and ultimately increase restaurant bookings.
Design and content
We created content for a monthly email marketing campaign informing recipients of Paul's progress on the show, developments in his restaurant and events coming up in the furture.
Working with our email marketing partners MailAway, we sent the newsletters to Paul’s customer database.
Results
Two email newsletters were sent to 3,930 customers and 48% opened the newsletter. The industry average for restaurants is 20%.
27% recipients clicked on links (benchmark 2%) and 635 people visited the Number 6 website.
A third email was sent after the show finished to 4,845 customers, with 54% opening the email and 32% clicking links.
