Australian Warren Mitchell is an amazing bloke. He pioneered the use of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) to rescue people in the surf, a technique which has saved thousands of lives.
He worked as a lifeguard at Watergate Bay in the 1960s, and reminisced about his time in Cornwall for Another Place.
