Email newsletters for Wavefinder
Action sports publisher Wavefinder set us the challenge of creating an email newsletter campaign to strengthen their relationship with their customers.
They wanted to reward customers for their loyalty, make them aware of new titles, and to increase website traffic to wave-finder.com

Incentive
To encourage people to sign up to the mailing list, we created an incentive for customers to register for the newsletter.
We also made sure the website explained clearly what people were signing up to, including the benefits to them, and how often they could expect to receive emails from Wavefinder.

Design and content
Taking the design theme from the website, we created a template for the newsletter.
We wrote a formula of key content elements, including special offers for subscribers, featured content from the Wavefinder website, and news of future publications.

Results
The newsletter performance is reviewed after every mailout to optimise the content.
Compared to industry standards the emails have an open rate of 68% above the average, and a click-through rate of 58% better than the industry standard for the sector.
