Brief
The second edition of Rock Oyster Festival took place from the 17th-19th June 2011 at a new, larger venue.
Organiser Charlie Anderson wanted to raise awareness of the event and the quality of the musical acts and chefs attending with the ultimate goal of increasing the ticket sales.

Strategy
Working within a tight budget and short timescale, we planned a press release driven campaign designed to highlight the quality of the musical line up and the standard of the chefs attending the event.

Implementation
We ran a series of five press releases, including a post event piece and provided Charlie and his team with social media training and consultation.
We also ran three competitions for tickets to the event in three local platforms: Cornwall’s Coolest, Visit Cornwall and the What's On section of local papers.

Results
The event received 71 pieces of coverage of print, broadcast and online coverage with an advertising value equivalent (AVE) of over £15,000 and reached a cumulative circulation/audience of 870,778 people.
Despite challenging weather, the event attracted record numbers at its new venue.
