New ecommerce site for Gourmet Picnics
Gourmet Picnics website had great traffic, but customers were being put off by a complicated buying system. Paying a webmaster to update their site was also time consuming and expensive.
Our brief was to create a new site that was easy for the client to manage and control themselves - and it had to look as good as their picnics taste.
Planning
Before starting on the rebrand and website development, we spent time researching the look, feel and functionality of similar websites in the sector.
We created a brief of the client's requirements for their site, working with an experience designer to create designs for new branding and the website pages.
Website build
With designs signed off by the client, our developers created a bespokecontent management system whichs allow the client to easily update their products, pricing and availability.
The system included a brand new service for customers where they could create their own picnics. The CMS also included an order management section, and integrated a secure payment system.
Content
Copywriting for the website was produced in-house. We then populated content on the website by choosing and editing appropriate photography.
We also briefed Westcountry Photographers to shoot both photography and video content for the new site.
